Proxy Server Settings

If your organization uses a proxy server to connect to the internet, contact your administrator to add proxy server settings to the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server.

Internet connection issues

If you cannot connect to the internet using a proxy server, this error may be caused by the following:

Failed internet connection

To check that you have an active internet connection, visit https://help.eset.com using your internet browser. If the page loads, your internet connection is working, and another issue may cause the problem. Check all network connections and internet protocols if the page fails to load.

Your security software might be blocking the ESET Endpoint Encryption from accessing the internet

Security software that includes a Firewall can block the ESET Endpoint Encryption Server setup from accessing the internet. The way to resolve this issue varies depending on your installed security software. To address this issue, you need to contact your administrator to access your security software settings, check which applications are being blocked and then add ESET Endpoint Encryption to the list of trusted applications that are allowed to run and access the internet.

Internet Proxy values are incorrect

Check that internet Proxy values in Enterprise Server meet those detailed within your internet properties under the connections tab and in LAN settings. In the Proxy Server section, you can find the IP address or name of your Proxy Server, and next to it will be the port number it uses to connect to the internet. Click Advanced to display which type your proxy address is assigned to.
